Understanding Business Groups
Lectio Inauguralis
"Avvocato Giovanni Agnelli" Associate Professorship in Economics

22 November 2013, 5:30pm, Università Bocconi, Aula Magna

Business groups consist of a collection of legally independent firms that are partly or wholly owned by a single family or firm that controls the member firms' assets. Despite their high profiles in numerous countries and their prevalence and importance in the global economy as a whole, they remain a phenomenon yet to be fully understood. Launching a new research agenda on the formation and impact of these groups, the Lectio will provide analysis from both the academic and management perspectives.
